Reflections from Pastor Jennifer
"We do not act like that!" or "We do it this way." Have you ever heard your parent or teacher say these phrases? Did you ever wonder who exactly is the collective "we"? And why is it that I should care to be like them? In our case, the "we" is followers of Jesus. "We" are in this together. "We" live a certain way - the way of Christ. "We" ask ourselves that question, "What would Jesus do in this situation?", then we choose to be obedient to His actions.
But a problem arises. Until the thoughts of Christ become our thoughts, we will think like our old selves. Until we begin to intentionally When we act first, think second, we don't even have time to ask ourselves what Jesus would do. Rather we do what the old "we" would do, then feel guilty and have to ask God to forgive us. Paul tells us to be renewed in our minds, but how can we do that?
Something that we can do, which will really change our outlook is to say, "Thank You, Jesus" as much as possible. For example, our plants have grown well this season - that is a blessing, so thank You, Jesus! When we make it to a location safely, it is because God was with us, so thank You, Jesus! Even though we are tired at the end of the week, we had jobs, good health to work. So when we want to complain about how worn out we are, we also say, (I mean, we start out with complaints... we are human, after all!) "Thank You, Jesus!" So gratitude changes our attitude and helps to renew our mind. Who are we? We are a grateful people!

365 Journey
The 365 Journey is our response to the last, the least, and the lost. To date the world’s total population is more than 7 billion people. The Last, the Least, and the Lost make up over 3 billion of the world's total population--over 40%! Most of these people reside in the 10/40 window and have little to no access to the Gospel of Jesus Christ. We will highlight a different group daily. The great thing about prayer is that any time we speak with God, He hears us. Join us on the 365 Journey to pray every day as we change our world one day at a time. !
Through the 365 Journey, we will advance the Kingdom of God by focusing on three key elements: the physical, material, and spiritual needs of humanity. We will meet physical needs by providing medical care and nutritious food and clean water. We will meet material needs such as shelter, clothing, and shoes. We will meet spiritual needs by telling the salvation story, discipling those we win, and planting churches globally.
We ask that you journey with us through two calls to action. First, pray. Pray for our efforts among the last, the least, and the lost. Second, give. As you partner with Church of God World Missions, please remember that 100% of your gift reaches the mission field.
Our next generations can accept the challenge as they join a local 365 Kids Club. We have available under the Explore menu 14 lessons as an addition to your current curriculum. We believe it will open their hearts to missions and reveal to them God’s heart for the world.
There is no greater experience than taking a mission trip! It has been said that travel is the best education you’ll get. We add to that “travel to a mission field is the best education you’ll ever get!” To see the last, the least, and the lost who live in a different manner, who eat different foods, who walk miles for a cup of water, that is impactful. Many have said that they were never the same after a mission trip. As you seek His will for your life, please prayerfully consider taking a mission trip.
