Fall Parties Fall Parties

Fall Festival Parties are Friday, October 30th
    • Parade @ 9:10 (This is a change from the paper calendar)
    • Set up for parties 2:45
    • Parties 3-3:30

There are lots of fun costume options out there! While your child may choose a scary or gory costume for Halloween night, these types of costumes are not appropriate for school. Please help your child use discretion when choosing a costume for our parade and parties.

For everyone’s safety and comfort at Sunnyside, please avoid:

  • Costumes that appear bloody, gory, or violent

  • Weapons or look-alikes (e.g., toy guns, knives, spears, scythes) — leave these at home

  • Masks that circulate colored liquid must remain turned off while at school

Event Day Details (Friday, October 31)

  • Parade: 9:10 AM

    • Weather permitting, the parade will be outside on the playground around the trail.

    • Spectators may set up chairs in designated areas around the perimeter and in the center of the playground. Bring your camera and join us!

    • Inclement weather plan: Parade moves inside parents are invited to watch from in the gym on the bleachers or in the center of the gym. (Students walk the perimeter.

  • Classroom Parties: 3:00PM-3:30PM

  • Room Parents: May go to classrooms to begin set-up at 2:45 PM.

Costumes at School

  • Students should arrive in costume.

  • They may stay in costume all day but can send masks, accessories with parent after the parade.

  • If Accessories remain at school will be stored in lockers after the parade.

  • Parents who choose to dress up should follow the same guidelines as students.

Thanks for helping us keep the day fun, festive, and safe for all!

Veteran Day Celebration Veteran Day Celebration

Join us on Wednesday, November 11, at 9:30 AM in the Sunnyside gym as we honor the brave men and women who have served and continue to serve our country! Our 1st graders will take the stage for a special musical performance, and students in all grades will join in songs celebrating our nation and our military. 🎶

Students can practice at home by visiting the Sunnyside Music Website and clicking the yellow “K-5 Veterans Day Songs” button. Students can also show their patriotic spirit by wearing red, white, and blue!

All veterans and active-duty military members are invited to attend, along with 1st grade families (due to limited gym space). Please RSVP Here. We look forward to sharing music, gratitude, and school spirit as we celebrate our heroes! ❤️🤍💙
