Sunnyvale ISD E-News

Sunnyvale Intermediate School’s SIS Jr. FFA students, led by Mrs. Lisa Stovall, recently took a field trip to Timberview Farmstead, where they enjoyed hands-on agricultural learning experiences. Students had the opportunity to interact with cows, chickens, and other farm animals while discovering more about animal care and farming practices. The trip provided a fun, educational experience that helped bring classroom lessons to life.

Debate Coach Ryan Stokes shared that Sunnyvale Debate competed at Melissa High School on October 3 in Congressional Debate, Lincoln Douglas Debate, Extemporaneous Speaking, and Original Oratory.

Five students competed for the first time for Sunnyvale, and the team faced stiff competition from multiple 5A and 6A Dallas area schools. Three debaters placed in their events.

Congratulations to:

Valentina Fernandez - 4th place Informative Extemporaneous Speaking

Amit Kumar - 5th place Original Oratory

Rowan McDaniel - 6th place Lincoln Douglas Debate
