Homecoming 2025
Jr/Sr High School students and staff kicked off Homecoming celebrations with the first pep rally of the year on Wednesday, October 1. The gym was filled with excitement and school spirit as each grade level cheered on their representatives in a series of fun games. A special highlight of the rally was taking time to recognize our senior athletes and band members for their dedication and contributions.
On Thursday evening, the Rollers took the field against the James Buchanan Rockets at West Shore Stadium. The crisp fall air and excited crowd set the stage for an unforgettable night. At halftime, Daniel R. and Aaliyah S. were crowned Homecoming King and Queen, a proud moment for the entire school. The night ended in victory as the Rollers dominated with an incredible 36–8 win.
The celebrations wrapped up Friday night with the annual Homecoming Dance. Students in grades 9–12 enjoyed an evening to remember as the high school gym was transformed into a festive game night theme with creative decorations. It was truly a magical way to end a spirited week.
Thank you to all of the students, staff, and volunteers who helped make Homecoming 2025 a success!

Mrs. Wagner’s Class Enjoys a Teddy Bear Picnic
On September 26, Mrs. Wagner’s kindergarten class celebrated their Monthly Motivator reward for positive behavior with a special Teddy Bear Picnic. Each student brought along a favorite teddy bear or stuffed animal to join in the fun.
While the class was in P.E., their teddy bears mysteriously disappeared—taking the students’ snacks with them! After a playful search around the school, the class discovered their furry friends waiting outside in the courtyard with a picnic already set up. Students then enjoyed a delightful snack alongside their teddy bears, making for a memorable and fun-filled day.
🎶 Exciting News from the Roller Music Program! 🎶

Students are now participating in lessons during the school day, giving everyone more opportunities to learn and grow as young musicians.
If you have any questions about the program, please reach out to Miss Suruskie at KSuruskie@shsd.k12.pa.us
