October 2026
On October 2nd, 22 of our members went to KILE. At KILE they identified cuts of meat, judge livestock animals and products. Students also enjoyed vendors and food at the farm show complex.
Our annual fruit sale fundraiser started on October 5th and will be ending on November 15th. We are selling many items including navel oranges, red grapefruit, clementines, and offering fruit baskets.
We are also running a Freckled Moose Braided Breads Fundraiser until November 15th.
Please reach out to an FFA Advisor or member to purchase fruit or braided breads.
Checks can be made payable to Solanco FFA.
National Convention
National convention is from the 19th to the 24th. Students who attend National Convention will be able to meet with other FFA members throughout the entire country at the Indianapolis Convention Center. Students attend leadership and connection workshops to improve the qualities of an FFA member. Students also participate in various events such as a concert, rodeo, and service day as well as many other fun activities. There are also opportunities to connect with businesses, colleges and future careers through walking around the Expo Hall. National Convention is a wonderful opportunity for our members to connect with chapters, businesses, and colleges throughout the country as well as grow as leaders and members.
