TALON TALK
π¬ Principal's Message
Hello, Reynolds Families!
I wanted to give you an update on the renovations happening at Reynolds and what to expect as we head into the spring semester.
Construction Timeline Update
Our newly renovated 300 wing was originally expected to be finished before Thanksgiving Break, but some additional plumbing work needs to be completed first. The new completion date is January 5th. Once it's ready, many of our 6th grade classrooms will be moving into these updated spaces.
Classroom Relocations
Here's what's happening with classroom moves as construction continues:
Moving into the Main Building: Most classrooms currently in the southern portables will move into the main building's 200 wing after the 300 wing is done.
Moving to Portables: Construction starts in part of our 400 wing on December 20th, so those classrooms will move to the southern portables for the spring semester.
Front Office Changes
Our front office and main entrance will be under construction too. The reception area and offices will temporarily move to the library in the northern library loop - that's the same area where you drop off and pick up your students each day. Since we are impacting our library, we are asking all students to return their borrowed library books by November 17th to begin the inventory and storage process.
We know construction can be disruptive, but please know that our staff will continue providing excellent learning experiences for your children no matter where their classroom is located. We know that these moves will cause some confusion at first, so all classroom changes will be visible on their Spring schedules in Skyward. The quality of instruction your students receive remains our priority through all these changes.
Thanks for your patience and understanding as we work through these improvements. These renovations will create better learning spaces for all our students!
Soaring together,
Dr. Jess Mullins
Principal, Reynolds Middle School
