Sincere thanks to all the parents who were able to attend meetings at the school last week. We truly appreciate the effort you made to be here. While the teachers couldn't go into great detail about classroom routines in the 20 minute timeframe, we hope you found the meetings helpful and enjoyed the opportunity to meet your child’s teacher and get a glimpse of what happens in their classroom.

• School Closed due to being used as a polling station on Friday 24th Oct

Our Marathon Relay will take place this Wednesday morning at 9:30 a.m. We’ll begin with our Junior Infants and work our way up through the classes, with every child running at least one lap.

Parents are very welcome to come along and cheer on the runners. Two years ago, it took us about two and a half hours to complete the full relay, so feel free to drop by at any stage from 9:30 onwards.

Please note: if the weather prevents us from going ahead on Wednesday, we will reschedule the relay for another day this week.

All funds raised from this event will go towards building a walking path around our school pitch, so that children can stay active even when the pitch itself is unplayable due to weather.

We’re looking forward to a fun and active morning together!

Our Open Day for our New Pupils will take place in the final term. I would appreciate it if you could share this information with family and members of the community who may be looking to enrol their child. Thank you for your support.

Homework starts this week and it’s very important for all parents to support their children with homework. We ask parents to help ensure that homework is completed. If your child is experiencing any difficulties, please notify the class teacher and the teacher will follow up with you to discuss.

As you all know, regular school attendance is crucial for every child. Consistent attendance helps children reach their full potential.

Please try to minimise absences whenever possible. Children thrive on routine and structure, and frequent absences or early pickups can negatively impact both their academic and social progress. If you're unsure about keeping your child home due to illness, please call the office for advice. If your child becomes unwell at school, we will contact you, and you can decide whether they need to go home.

We wish to inform you that our Bí Cineálta Policy is now in effect. This is a key policy that reflects

our school’s commitment to promoting a culture of kindness and respect. It is essential that all parents read this policy thoroughly upon receipt, a copy of the Bí Cineálta Policy will

be issued to all families shortly. It is also available on our school website here.

Our girls’ football team have been working hard in training and showing fantastic commitment in their recent matches. They have played 3 games so far against Longwood, Boardsmil and Kilcloon, showing great teamwork, encouragement, and determination throughout. The school is very proud of their efforts, and we look forward to seeing their continued progress!

This is a fundraising initiative and the money raised will be used to cover the costs of the two sensory pods we purchased last year.
