Tynes Weekly Updates
February 20, 2026
Greetings from Dr. Borgese
Showing Up, Stepping Up, Shining Bright
Tiger Families,
This week at Tynes, we’re continuing to build momentum across campus with a strong focus on attendance and student engagement. Being present each day truly matters, and we appreciate our families’ partnership in helping students show up ready to learn. We’re also excited to kick off our Jog-a-thon fundraiser—this is always a fun and energetic event that brings our community together while supporting meaningful opportunities for our students.
I also had the chance to meet with our 4th–6th grade students during our Student Voice Forum, and I continue to be impressed by their thoughtfulness, honesty, and pride in their school. Their perspectives help guide our work and strengthen our community. As we look ahead, talent show auditions are just around the corner, and we can’t wait to see our Tigers shine. Thank you for your continued support in making Tynes a place where every student feels connected, valued, and inspired to grow.
Warmly,
Dr. Borgese

Jogathon Fundraiser
Our Jog-a-thon officially kicked off today! Students attended a fun assembly and learned about this year’s prizes and how they can help raise funds for our school!
Goal: $22,000
If we reach it, the whole school earns an extra recess and Dr. Borgese and Mrs. Miller will dress up for the Jog-a-thon !We’re using DoJiggy again this year for easy online donations (cash and checks are welcome, too). Information on setting up your student’s fundraising page is coming home and included below.
There are:
Prizes for fundraising milestones
Awards for the top 3 fundraisers
A NEW grand prize for the overall top fundraiser
Class prizes for top-earning classes
Business Sponsorships – A Major Focus This Year
In addition to donations from family and friends, we’re placing a strong emphasis on growing our business sponsorships. Community sponsors make a huge impact and help us reach our goal faster.
You can help by:
Becoming a sponsor if you own a business
Asking your employer if they support local schools
Connecting us with a local business owner you know
Helping us reach out to businesses in the community
We have multiple sponsorship levels available, and sponsors receive recognition through event signage and school communications.
If you’re willing to help — even by reaching out to just one business — please let us know. Parent connections are incredibly powerful!
