Winship Family News
April 2026
A Note from Mrs. Skattum
Winship Wildcat Family,
Our 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade students have started, or will soon begin the, North Dakota Academic Progression of Learning and Understanding of Students (ND A+) assessments (formerly known as the North Dakota State Assessment). Many staff members worked hard to create a manageable schedule to ensure students have the support they need during testing. I’m grateful for our team’s “all hands on deck” approach.
What a highly attended and awesome family reading night we had at the end of March. We had around 250 people attend, and we had to add more tables and chairs to accommodate-a good "problem" to have! Kudos to the team that planned and organized the event and to all of our volunteers!
As we approach the end of the school year, it’s natural to start counting down to summer break, but we also have so much to look forward to in the weeks ahead. This time of year is filled with fun, memorable experiences, special events, and opportunities to celebrate all the hard work that’s been done. Alongside that excitement, we want to stay focused on making the most of each day and finishing the year strong. April and May will bring a balance of learning and fun while ensuring our students continue to grow and make progress.
Due to the number of events happening this spring, the "Welcoming Winship" committee has decided to move this event to the fall. This will also give us an opportunity to welcome families that move into the Winship area over the summer, and will serve as a nice kick off to the 2026-2027 school year. Look for more information to come!
As always, please reach out to the office if you have any questions!
