Principal Letter Principal Letter

Dear Northridge Families,

What an incredible first three days of school it has been at Northridge Elementary! The halls are once again filled with the joyful energy of our students, and it has been wonderful to see so many happy faces arriving each morning, ready to learn.

Our teachers have been focused on building strong classroom communities and fostering trust among students. These first days are so important for setting the tone for the year, and classrooms have been buzzing with activities that encourage teamwork, respect, and kindness. Students have been actively involved in helping to establish shared expectations, ensuring that everyone feels safe, valued, and ready to learn.

Being in the classrooms, recess and the lunch room this week has brought me so much joy. It has been amazing seeing kids excited about catching grasshoppers and building them little homes, playing ga-ga ball, laughing with friends and learning new things about their classmates.

Our students are excited to be here—and that excitement is contagious. The year ahead holds so much promise, and we’re already off to a great start.

A few important reminders for next week:

Next week is picture day for all grades except Kindergarten. Monday is 1st, 2nd and 3rd's chance to pose for a picture and Tuesday 4th, 5th and 6th will have their pictures snapped!

Friday we will be having a Back to School night. Teachers will be giving presentations about their classroom procedures and policies. Teachers will give the same presentation at 4:00 and 4:30.

Friday is also our Back to School Carnival! Be sure to check out the flyer in our blast for more information. We look forward to seeing everyone there!

Thank you for your continued support in making Northridge Elementary such a welcoming and thriving place for our students.

Smiles,
Erin Lehnert
Principal, Northridge Elementary
