Food Donation Appeal - St Vincent de Paul & McCormack Farm
Our School has a tradition of donating to the local St Vincent de Paul Christmas Food Appeal. It is a very worthy cause which goes to help families and people in our local area of Meath. This year, we will also be supporting McCormack’s Family Farm Food Donation Appeal. Please support both these charity appeals by donating non-perishable items such as tinned/jarred foods, pasta, rice, biscuits, chocolate, tea/ coffee, powdered soups/sauces, soft drinks, crisps etc. Please give generously. Pupils can bring food donations in until the Christmas Holidays. Thanks so much to those of you who have already donated.
Parents Association Christmas Raffle
The Parents Association is organising a raffle of festive hampers and other festive treats to coincide with the Christmas plays on 19th December. Raffle tickets will be on sale on 18th (at drop-off and pick-up) and in the school on 19th December from the PA representatives.
Your generous support is very much appreciated. Many thanks to everyone that has donated raffle items so far.
All funds raised will be put towards current school priorities, which include the purchase of resources for the new Primary Mathematics Curriculum, for which the school will need to fund itself.
As you know last year the PA purchased various items for the school - basketball nets, bibs, planting materials. This year they also hope to provide funds for yard markings and in the longer term a walking trail and Astro pitch.
Drumming with David at Dangan!
Drumming workshops can greatly improve students motor skills. Playing the drums means that all four limbs must be coordinated to work together, requiring the player to use both sides of their brain simultaneously.
The Parents Association are kindly paying for the first session with David. There is a 15euro fee per family for the remaining five sessions, which can be made payable via Aladdin
