Baldwin UFSD Is Going Mobile! Baldwin UFSD Is Going Mobile!

Baldwin Union Free School District (UFSD) is excited to launch a mobile app to centralize all district and school communications, as well as frequently used resources for parents and students. Additionally, within the new mobile app, the district has added a two-way communications platform called Reach. Similar to Remind and Class Dojo, Reach allows for parents and teachers to more easily communicate with one another. Other advantages of the Baldwin UFSD app include the ability to customize settings based on communication and school preferences and the option to receive emergency push notifications for Baldwin School District parents/guardians, students or employees who download the app. More information to come over the new few weeks. Stay tuned!

It was a picture-perfect day for a picture-perfect Homecoming! Congratulations to the Bruins on winning this year's game with a notable 39-12 victory over the Port Washington Vikings. The stands were packed with Baldwin pride and onlookers enjoyed outstanding performances by the Cheerleading Squad, Step Team, and both the middle and high school bands. 'Hats off' (or 'crowns on') to this year's Homecoming King, Joseph Gonzalez, and Queen, Brianna Walters, and their royal court: Renelle Grannum, Celisa Benoit, Matthew Feeney, Asia Dowe, Evan Chan, and Morgan Jackson.

Third graders across Baldwin elementary schools are experiencing science in a fun and exciting way through the “For the Birds” program, a place-based series of lessons about birds and their habitats led by the Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center. The lessons are woven into the science curriculum, which focuses on AIR (the atmosphere) and includes instruction on magnetism, adaptations, migration, weather, bird feeders, as well as citizen science.
