A Message from Your Principal A Message from Your Principal

Hello Garfield Families,

We’ve had such a wonderful time welcoming your children to Garfield and kicking off the 2025–26 school year together. It feels great to be back in the rhythm of school!

A special welcome to our new families — we’re so glad you’re here. You’re joining a unique, warm, and caring community where every staff member supports students academically, socially, and emotionally.

Garfield is proud to be the home of Clovis Unified’s Deaf and Hard of Hearing (D/HH) program, serving students from across the district. If it feels like there’s a large team of adults on campus, you’re absolutely right! In addition to our incredible teachers, we’re supported by a wide range of specialists and staff, including instructional aides, sign language interpreters, intervention teachers, art docents, counselors, psychologists, auditory therapists, nurses, LVNs, student teachers, and many more. It truly takes a village, and we’re proud of ours.

Right next door is the Garfield Center, our district’s school for medically fragile students, serving learners ages 3 to 22. These students are also part of our Garfield, Alta Sierra, and Buchanan families — a beautiful example of our inclusive community.

We’re so excited to have you as part of the Garfield family. If you see me around campus, please don’t hesitate to introduce yourself — your child might be able to spot me in the crowd!

Get Ready for the CUB FUN Run! Get Ready for the CUB FUN Run!

We're excited to introduce this year's main fundraiser, the Cub Fun Run. Our goal this year is to raise $40,000 for student activities, awards, field trips, athletic uniforms, camps, tournaments, performances, supplemental materials, and art lessons to benefit ALL students at Garfield Elementary.

We’re excited for this fundraising experience because it offers 3 important things to our school community:

1️⃣ User-friendly fundraising platform

2️⃣ Character enrichment program

3️⃣ Fitness-focused event that includes ALL of our students

As a family, you will work together asking friends and family to donate on your student’s Donation Page at MyBooster.com. The best part is, you can still support our school just by SHARING about the fundraiser!

Students will also experience an amazing character enrichment program called “Castle Quest”, teaching students about how to be brave and live with character.
