Dear Families,

We hope that you had a great weekend and found some downtime amidst the hustle and bustle of December. Some highlights from the past week include coding activities in honor of the yearly “Hour of Code” event, a generous donation of multicultural books from the Weymouth High School Black Student Union, and adorable “Jiji the Penguin” crafts for the November ST Math Challenge winners. Here is some helpful info for the weeks ahead:

Half-days in December:

Tuesday, December 13th and Friday, December 23rd - dismissal at 11:50 am

The Holiday Shop is coming on December 14th and 15th! Our Parent Council has been working hard to plan this well-loved event. The shopping schedule can be found here: 2022 Holiday Shop Schedule

We want to thank the Karlis Collins and Crane families for supplying the Staff Room with such wonderful treats! Your generosity is greatly appreciated!

We want to make sure that all of our Wessagusset students are able to experience the magic of our Holiday Shop! If this presents a financial hardship please reach out to Sarah Machado at 781-335-2210 ext 38308 or sarah.machadodeady@weymouthschools.org. We are happy to help everyone participate!

Our next all-school PBIS Incentive will be “Backwards Day” on Friday, December 16th! Students can get creative and wear their clothes backwards if they would like to participate. Thank you to Mary M in 3K for thinking of this fun idea!

Term 1 report cards and progress reports will be available in Aspen on Friday, December 23rd. Please note that this is for Grades 1-5 only. Kindergarten report cards will be sent home in mid-January. Information for accessing Report Cards through Aspen Family Portal will be shared in the coming weeks.

This week we shine our Staff Spotlight of Mrs. Jenn Loud for creating an amazing, loving classroom community! Jenn's dedication to her students' continued success is evident in all she does.

We are excited for another great week at Wessagusset!

Sincerely,

Lindsey Frat
