Dear Decatur Virtual Family,
Anyone who is planning to go with us to the High Museum must complete the field trip permission form by March 7 th at 3:00 pm. We are excited to have this meet-up on Sunday, March 9th. The link to the permission form is below:

Thus far, no one has signed the permission form to attend the High Museum meet up. I have extended the deadline until March 7th at 3:00 pm. If we have no one to sign the permission form, the meet up will be canceled. I will send a confirmation email to those who sign up on Friday at 3:30.
Please be aware that all students at DVA by choice, 504, IEP and HHB will take the GMAS end-of-grade and end-of-course tests with their home school. Please look out for emails from Mr. Champion at Decatur High School, Ms. Coleman at Beacon Hill Middle School, and Ms. Mosley at Talley Street Upper Elementary School. That testing will begin on April 21st. Students who are suspended or have an accommodation to not test in the building will receive calendar invites from Ms. Whatley. See the chart below for the GMAS testing schedule. All testing must be in person.

The window to sign up for DVA by choice for the 2025-26 school year is now open. Complete the form linked below to sign up and complete the online contract. Once you have completed the form, Ms. Whatley will schedule a meeting to discuss the details of transition to online learning for the 2025-26 school year. Families must participate in the intake appointment to attend DVA. The window to sign up will be closed on June 1, 2025. All intake appointments must be held by June 15th. The link to the sign up form and online contract is below.
Students who have IEPs must also have an IEP team meeting to discuss how services will be provided online.
