Welcome back from Thanksgiving break! I hope you had a restful and enjoyable time with your family and loved ones. Since there is only 3 weeks, it is crucial for our students to stay focused both academically and behaviorally as we work together to finish the semester strong. We encourage you to support your child in staying on track by reviewing their progress, setting goals, and reinforcing good study habits. Together, we can ensure they end the semester on a high note and are ready to celebrate their academic success for the 1st semester after winter break!

Please join us on Tuesday, December 3 @ 5pm for our School Site Council and Annual Title 1 information Meeting. The purpose of the meeting is to inform our school community why Title 1 is important in providing supplemental federal funding for improving student improvement.

Starting in January, we will be implementing a closed campus policy to enhance the safety and security of our students, staff and community. we will

be making changes to our arrival and dismissal procedures.

• Morning arrival the double blue gates will open at 8:00am and only students will be allowed on campus beyond the gates. Our Tatarian students have become very familiar with our structures and procedures and are able to make their way to the cafeteria and lines in the morning.
• Afterschool Parent Pick-up students will exit through the gates or line up at their class number along the North-west fence on Valentine until they see their parent. For safety reasons, we kindly ask that non-school personnel adults wait on the sidewalk for students.

I understand this is a shift, but we are confident it will benefit Tatarian as the safety and well-being of our school community are our top priorities.

Attending school everyday is crucial for our students to contribute to both their academic success and personal development! Here are a few important facts highlighting the importance of consistent school attendance:

• Higher Achievement- Consist attendance helps students build a strong academic foundation, which is important for higher education and career readiness.
• Positive Interaction with Peers- Tatarian provides a social environment where students can interact with peers, learn teamwork, and develop communication skills. Regular attendance allows students to form and maintain friendships which will enhance their social development.

CONGRATULATIONS, 5th grade for making Tatarian's monthly attendance goal!!

The attendance goal for Tatarian is 96.2. The 5th grade classes averaged 96.4% for the month of October!

Please join Fresno Unified on Thursday, December 5 to give your input on how to improve traffic safety at Fresno Unified schools. As part of that effort, the district is holding regional community meetings to share their plan and garner feedback from parents, staff, students, and our greater community. Please join the conversation in the Tenaya Middle School Cafeteria from 5:30-6:30 pm. The meeting will be held in the Library and all Bullard regional families are invited. Snacks will be provided.

Our Annual Jingle Bell Run will be held on December 5th! The classroom with the most money raised, will win snowglobe ornament kits for their class and the teacher will get a grande Starbucks drink!!

We need volunteers to help out at the Jingle Bell Run! If you help with the Not-Hot Cocoa Bar during your Hawk's run time, you will have a chance to break away and watch them run. If you have any questions, please let us know!

We are asking for volunteers to help get course items ready in the days leading up to the event. We also need helpers to help setup, run the Not-Hot Cocoa bar and clean-up. This is a great opportunity to break out your ugly sweaters and holiday attire
