From the desk of: Principal Hoese

As part of my principal entry plan that I shared earlier this year, I made mention of one of my educational values: Continuous Improvement.

After the lockdown in our schools on Friday, November 22, 2019, I stressed that value at our staff meeting after school. The lockdown process allowed is to identify areas that we can improve in. I welcomed feedback from all teachers, staff, paraprofessionals, and substitutes. This feedback will be used to continue to fortify our procedures to make the greatest little elementary school in the universe the safest as well.

With the Thanksgiving weekend upon us, I wanted to take a moment to express my gratefulness to the amazing staff that I get to work with each day. I could not be more blessed to be surrounded by such amazing educators in my first year as a principal. We are growing day by day as a school family as we support your most precious resource: your children.

Thank you for trusting us to serve their best interests. Thank you for supporting us in our pursuit of excellence. Thank you for being an integral part of #SteamerNation.

Happy Friday, Lil Steamer Families!

SRO Leitzen's Tip of the Week!

Always watch for cars in the parking lots or roadways (remember cars have blind spots).

From the Desk of: Counselor Mrs. Meumann

It is important that kids learn to accept and appreciate their differences. Each student brings something new into the school, including world views, backgrounds, experiences, and personalities. Accepting differences shows respect. Having empathy helps you understand and accept how others are the same or different from you. Having empathy and showing respect helps children to get along with others.
