Anderson Student Council (3rd-5th Grade) ๐Ÿ˜€

Student Council is back looking for students in grades 3-5 to help share the story of Anderson School and create new memories together! We can have 3-4 students participate from each class. Student Council will meet each Wednesday after school (except early release Wednesdays) from October 1st -May 13th from 3:30-4:30.

We will meet to build leadership skills, share ideas, participate in team building fun, plan activities for our school, and this year we'll be working more to help the younger grades with something called Fox Friends. Student Council Representatives: are positive role models of Anderson expected behavior, share the ideas of Anderson students to make our school better, help with school activities and PTO activities, learn about leadership, and help our community and represent the Anderson community in a positive way. Students are welcome to apply even if they have been on Student Council before!

You need to re-enter each school year. Don't miss out!

The purpose of this Google Form is to help Anderson School families connect by collecting and organizing contact information that you may want to share with other families. We often receive requests from parents looking to connect with others in their child's class for organizing playdates, planning birthday parties, or sending thank you notes.

Please take a moment to fill out the questions below. You can share as much or as little information as you're comfortable with. The details you provide will be compiled into a view-only spreadsheet that will be accessible to all Anderson School families.

Mr. Jarot will then share the "View Only" spreadsheet, organized by Grade Level Teacher Tabs, with all Anderson Families.

Student Belonging Survey for 3rd-5th Grade

Dear Parent/Guardian,

The core values of St. Charles Community Unit School District 303 are Belonging, Perseverance, and Achievement. To begin the school year each student will respond to questions in the following areas:

  • Self-Management

  • Emotional Regulation

  • Social Awareness

  • Grit

  • Self Efficacy

  • Sense of Belonging

  • Teacher-Student Relationship

This information is helpful in understanding studentsโ€™ sense of belonging, perseverance, and overall social-emotional learning skills.

The complete SEL Survey will be completed twice this school year in September and May

In November and February, on the last student attendance Monday of each month, students will respond to the four or five question Sense of Belonging portion of the survey. The information will be used to understand students and groups of students' connection with the school.

Additional information about this, and other assessments and surveys for students in District 303 may be found on our website at https://district.d303.org/departments/assessment. Thank you for your support and assistance in ensuring each of our students has the opportunity to achieve academic and social-emotional success.

Please feel free to contact your building principal or me if you have questions.

Sincerely,

David Chiszar

Executive Director of Assessment and Accountability

New! District 303 attendance procedures

District 303 attendance procedures were updated and approved at the June 9, 2025, Board Meeting. All district procedures are available in the CUSD 303 Student Handbook found in the Parent/Community tab in the Information column of the districtd303.org website.

Updates to the attendance procedures were made to bring consistency across all schools within the district and to clarify student attendance expectations. One example of an update is the removal of the pre-arranged absence procedure. This aligns with the definitions of excused and unexcused absences found in Section 2.2.

Families are encouraged to review the CUSD 303 Student Handbook to familiarize themselves with the districtwide procedures.
