Allstar Newsletter- Family

🎮 Welcome Back, Antelope Allstars!

We are so excited to have everyone back in the building for another amazing school year at Antelope Elementary! We are looking forward to a year filled with learning, growth, connection, and fun.

🚸 Arrival & Dismissal Reminders

Please make sure your student has a designated meeting spot with you or with the buddies they walk home with. Students exit through different doors at dismissal, so having a plan ahead of time will help everyone get home safely.

  • Kindergarten Parents/Guardians: You are welcome to walk around to the back of the school to pick up your student.
  • Grades 1–6: Families meeting their students should plan to meet out front.
  • Pets are not allowed on school property. Please help us keep our students and families safe by leaving pets at home.
  • Bikes, scooters, skateboards, etc. must be walked while on school property. Students may begin riding once they are off school grounds.

Thank you for helping us make arrival and dismissal safe and smooth for everyone!

🎲 2026–2027 Theme

GAME ON – Everyone Belongs, Everyone Plays!

We are so excited about this year's theme! Game On celebrates teamwork, inclusion, connection, and making sure every student knows they belong at Antelope Elementary.

👕 Allstar Spirit Wear is Coming!

This year, we will have an online school store where families can order Antelope Allstars spirit wear. Orders will be delivered directly to the school and labeled with your student's name.

We are planning several options, including:

  • ⭐ A classic/generic Antelope Allstars shirt
  • 🎮 A Game On themed shirt
  • 🧥 A generic sweatshirt option

Order through this link: Antelope Elementary The store will close on September 6, so get your orders in now!

📱 myDSD Guardian Account

If you have not yet created your myDSD Guardian Account, please scan the QR code below.

If you need help creating your account, our office staff will be happy to assist you.

💻 Device Protection

You can also purchase Device Protection through myDSD. Device Protection must be purchased each school year to provide coverage for damage to your student's device.

The deadline to purchase Device Protection is October 1.

🍎 Important New Food Permission – HB 402

Due to Utah's new HB 402 legislation, families must complete a permission form if they would like their child to receive certain foods at school, including:

  • Classroom celebration treats
  • Birthday treats
  • Food incentives
  • Snacks brought from outside the school
  • Other foods that do not meet HB 402 requirements

The permission form is available through myDSD and only needs to be completed once for the school year for every child attending our school.

If permission is not provided, the school cannot distribute foods containing ingredients prohibited under HB 402 during the school day.

Parents may still choose to pack these items in their child's lunch.

We have also included a list of HB 402-approved snack ideas in the attached PDF.

🪪 School Safety – Photo ID Required

The safety of our students remains our highest priority.

Every visitor entering the school must present a valid photo ID.

Even if our staff knows you personally, all visitors must check in through the office and present identification.

We appreciate your patience and support as we follow district safety procedures designed to protect our students and staff.

🍽️ Free & Reduced Lunch Application

We encourage every family to complete a Free & Reduced Lunch Application, even if you are unsure whether you qualify.

Qualifying may provide benefits for your family while also helping our school receive important educational funding and resources.

For students who qualify for free or reduced-price meals this school year:

  • Lunch will be free.
  • Students who qualify for reduced-price meals will only pay the reduced price for breakfast.

Please take a few minutes to complete the application using the QR code below.

🚌 Volunteers & Field Trips

We love having our families involved at Antelope!

If you plan to volunteer in a classroom or attend a field trip as a volunteer, you must complete the district's required background check before volunteering.

Please use the QR code below to complete the process.

⭐ Game On, Allstars!

We are grateful for your continued support as we work together to provide a safe, welcoming, inclusive, and positive learning environment for every student.

Our staff is excited and ready for an incredible 2026–2027 school year.

🎮 Everyone Belongs. Everyone Plays. GAME ON! ⭐

Please reach out if you have any questions or need additional support.

We are excited for a great year, Allstars!

Things to Know!

  • The Antelope Student and Family Handbook for 2026-2027 school year is now available on our website. Here is the link to the handbook.
  • If your child chooses to bring a bike or scooter to school, they MUST be locked up. The school is not held responsible if a bike or scooter is stolen. The school is not responsible for lost or damaged bicycles and equipment brought by students. Please supply your child with a lock to secure their item to the bike/scooter stands. Scooters are not allowed inside the school. Skateboards are not allowed at Antelope Elementary and will not be allowed inside the classroom. Thank you for your understanding of this policy.
  • Attendance and Timely Arrival- Parents please help to have your students here at the school on time. The first bell will ring at 8:50, the late bell will ring at 8:55, your student will now be marked late and will need to check in at the office. If your student has not arrived at school by 9:30 a.m., an automated call will be generated letting the parent know their student has not arrived. We are implementing a new attendance incentive and they will want to be at school!
