Keeping Up with Comm Arts
~ May 19, 2025 ~
Hello Comm Arts Family and Friends!
The countdown is on – just two weeks left until summer vacation! Students, let's make these last days count. Keep an eye on your grades and attendance; let's finish strong. You've got this!
Attendance Recovery will be on May 20th in the Comm Arts' LGI from 4:20 - 6 p.m. Bring something to work on. The last progress report is now be available on HAC.
Due to late AP testing, students cannot hang out in the Comm Arts building before school on May 22nd. Non-testing students can enter the building at 8:50 a.m. and quietly move to their classroom. Before school, students can hang out in the cafeteria at Taft. Device collection will also be May 22nd. Students, make sure to remove all non-NISD stickers and bring your charger.
Semester exams begin this Friday, May 23rd and continue May 27-29th. Exempt students will still need to be present to remain eligible. See the PDF below for the exam schedule. See the form below for more information about 4th period Comm Arts lunch on May 28th.
Monday, May 26th, is Memorial Day. The campus will be closed for the holiday. As you enjoy your three-day weekend, take some time to reflect on the fallen men and women who died while serving in the military.
Seniors have a mandatory graduation practice in the cafeteria on May 28th at 1:30 pm. Plan to be there.

This alternative school placement, required by law, is made regardless of whether the substance being vaped is a controlled substance or not.
