Principal's Message from Mrs. Spears
Parents & Students,
I want to take a moment to thank you for your continued support! I hope you are enjoying the cooler weather and the upcoming four-day weekend.
It’s been a busy and exciting time on campus:
-
Football season is wrapping up, and we’re proud of all the hard work our athletes have put in.
-
Volleyball has advanced to Round 2 of the playoffs—way to go, team!
-
Basketball season is getting underway, and we’re looking forward to a great start.
-
Our band finished 7th overall in the Area Band Contest—congratulations to all our musicians!
Our final pep rally of the semester will be this Thursday, and the theme is Camo Day—we can’t wait to see everyone show their school spirit!
The second nine weeks are already in full swing, and we appreciate everyone’s effort to stay focused and finish strong. As a reminder, students should continue to follow the dress code and no electronic devices policy during school hours.
As always, please don’t hesitate to reach out if you need anything. Thank you for being such an important part of our school community!
GO WAR EAGLES!
Here at the Ridge...We See You. We Believe in You. We Support You.

Smart Tag Parent App--Late Bus?
SMART tag Parent APP
Please encourage our parents to sign up for the SMART tag™ Parent App, as we are no longer providing Bus Hubs to notify parents of bus delays. This app offers real-time updates on their child’s school bus, including arrival alerts, and notifications for delays or route changes.
It's a reliable and convenient way to stay informed about their child's transportation. Simply instruct them to download the app, register, and link their child’s student ID to start receiving updates. The following link will provide parents with instructions on how to register.

Construction Update
We want to keep you informed that construction is currently taking place on our high school campus as part of ongoing facility upgrades. These improvements are focused on enhancing the overall learning environment and ensuring long-term safety and accessibility for all students.
All construction zones are clearly marked and secured, and student safety remains our top priority. Classes, activities, and daily routines will continue without interruption, and staff are on hand to help students navigate any temporary changes around campus.
We appreciate your patience and support as we work to build a better learning space for your student and their classmates. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact the school office.
New HB Rules regarding Referees & UIL Games
SB 2929
Referees at University Interscholastic League (UIL)-sanctioned events in Texas are granted the authority to remove unruly spectators without issuing a prior verbal warning. This authority stems from Texas Senate Bill 2929, signed into law by Governor Greg Abbott, which specifically amends Section 37.105 of the Education Code, allowing for immediate ejection of disruptive spectators from extracurricular events sponsored or sanctioned by school districts or the UIL.
