AM Drop Off Procedures- Front of the Campus
Our side doors are locked at 8:00 AM. If you arrive after 8:00 AM, you will have to park in the front and bring your child into the building to sign them in. Please DO NOT drop your child off in the front after 8:00 AM to walk in alone.
Lost and Found
We have accumulated lots of items in our Lost and Found- from water bottles to sweatshirts and everything in between. If your child is missing something, please remind them to stop by the Lost and Found.
Parent Questions, Concerns, and Conferences
In order to ensure timely communication and action, if there are concerns or questions in your child’s classroom please contact the teacher FIRST. They will be able to answer your questions and address any of your concerns. Allow the teacher the opportunity to communicate with you and your student first. Teachers and staff will answer emails during school hours 7:50am-4:15pm. If the teacher, student, and parent cannot come to an agreement or resolution, please schedule an appointment with an Administrator and the teacher. We all want the BEST for each and every student. Let’s all work together to positively support one another for our students’ success.

March Lunch Menu
Breakfast Info
Breakfast is served from 7:20 a.m. - 7:55 a.m. If you want your child to eat breakfast here at school, the best time to drop them off is between 7:30 - 7:40. We have some students arriving at 7:55 and wanting to eat breakfast, unfortunately by the time they get to the cafeteria breakfast is closed. If you have any questions, please contact the front office.
Lunch Drinks
Parents, please send a drink with your student if you are sending them with a lunch; while lunches are provided free of charge for all students, drinks purchased on their own will be charged. If your child wants a drink only, they will have to get the entire lunch in order to get the drink.
Lunch Visitors
We are excited for our parents to eat lunch with their children. Remember, only people listed on a child’s emergency contacts can eat lunch with a student. AT THIS TIME, WE ARE ONLY ALLOWING 2 ADULTS PER STUDENT, TO ALLOW SPACE FOR ALL OF OUR GUESTS. All guests must present a driver’s license and be signed in at the front office. School aged students ARE NOT permitted to eat with younger siblings if it is during their own school day.
At the end of lunch, you will need to line up with your student’s class. The teacher will let you inside the building.
Please exit through the front doors and return your tag to front office staff. Visitors are not permitted to walk their students back to class.
When you check in, a specific destination is put on your name tag. This allows staff to know if visitors are in the right area of the building.
Can I just drop off my child’s lunch?
The quick answer is no.
BISD policy restricts lunch drop offs for students. Our front office staff needs to remain vigilant while monitoring lunch time guests and activities. Lunchtime deliveries take away from our ability to ensure each child’s safety, and they have the potential to disrupt instruction time. You are always welcome to bring lunch and eat with your child. Additionally, we cannot accept food deliveries for students from Door Dash, ASAP, Dominoes, Panera, etc.
Important Information about Water Bottles at school
Water bottles should be flip-style or closable lid. Water bottles with only a straw (Stanley Cup style) are not permitted due to leaking.
Arrival and Dismissal Info
Drop Off and Dismissal Procedures
DOORS DO NOT OPEN UNTIL 7:20 a.m.
This is a reminder that the school doors are not opened until 7:20 a.m. It is important that you understand that any students who are dropped off earlier than 7:20 a.m. will not be supervised by school personnel and that parents/guardians are responsible for their children until this time. Please understand that it is very important that students are supervised by a parent or guardian until 7:20 a.m. If you have any further questions or concerns please call 730-7165.
Please review our drop off and dismissal procedures here.
We understand changes can occur at times for dismissal; if your child's pickup routine changes, please contact the front office at (979) 730-7165 by 2:00 pm to let them know.
There are now gates at all drop off locations and parents will not be allowed to enter the gates during arrival or dismissal. Parents are not allowed to accompany their child into the classrooms.
Car Rider/Walk Up Tags
All car riders and walker parents must have a white plastic tag for dismissal (car riders and walk-ups), if not you will be sent to the office to retrieve your student. We are giving one tag for each new student (a signature will be required for the free tags), but will need to charge for extras. All returning students will use their tags from last year. You may purchase more tags in the front office for $2.00.
Late Afternoon Student Checkouts
Please do not check your children out after 3:15 pm unless in cases of extreme emergencies. The end of the day can be hectic as we are transitioning PK, Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade students to their appropriate dismissal areas, and calling for students during this time can cause confusion for our younger students.
Attendance
Classes begin at 8:00 a.m. and students are tardy at 8:05 a.m., announcements will begin at 8:00 a.m. It is important that your child is in their classroom by 7:55 a.m., so they can begin their day.
It is required by law that your students (PK-4) come to school and be on time. Once you hit 3 absences, expect to start receiving attendance letters and possibly meeting notices. Always send a note from home or a doctor’s note when sick. If you have attendance questions, please contact Assistant Principal, Selina Ivy.
You can electronically submit a note for an absence and attach a doctor’s note one of two ways:
You can use the email address below:
apbeutelattendance@brazosportisd.net
OR
You can submit via this form:
Why Does Attendance Matter?
Getting back into the habit of daily attendance matters more than ever. Going to school is an opportunity for your student to:
â—Ź Build routines that help reduce stress.
â—Ź Connect to their friends and teachers.
â—Ź Engage in learning.
When students attend regularly, they are much more likely to read proficiently by third grade, do well in middle school and graduate.
Why Do Tardies Matter?
Frequent tardiness not only disrupts individual learning but also disrupts the entire class. Repeated tardiness is also heavily linked to chronic absenteeism. Students who are chronically absent-meaning they miss at least 15 days of school in a year- are at risk for falling behind academically.
