Message From Mr. Faehndrich
Principal of Dwight D. Eisenhower Middle School
As we head into this weekend's festivities, I want to wish everyone a very happy and safe Halloween. Please remember to stay visible, stick together in groups, and look out for one another while trick-or-treating in our neighborhoods.
I also want to express how proud I was to see our hallways filled with students dressed in pink today in recognition of Breast Cancer Awareness Month. Participating in this initiative is incredibly important. Raising awareness not only helps drive funding for vital research and early detection, but it also shows profound solidarity with the survivors, patients, and families who have been impacted by this disease. By coming together in pink, our students actively demonstrated empathy and unity, proving once again what a supportive and caring environment we have built here.
Looking ahead to next week, please note that it will be a short week for our students. There will be no school for students on Thursday, Friday, and the following Monday, creating a well-deserved five-day extended weekend. I hope everyone uses this upcoming break to rest, recharge, and enjoy quality time with family and friends.
Survey results from last week.. Looks like a lot of EMS community wants to be the hero for their sports team and score the game winner every time!

Drop Off
Make It Safe by Following Proceedures
These procedures are not optional and they keep our children safe. We expect the entire community's cooperation to maintain a secure environment during every morning drop-off.
Safe Unloading: Drivers must pull up as far as they can in the drop-off line before letting students out. Students must exit the vehicle quickly and always on the curb side. Dropping students off in the parking aisles is strictly prohibited.
Restricted Traffic Zones: No cars are permitted to drive around the back of the building after 7:45 AM.
Designated Waiting Areas: Students must stay within their designated waiting areas. See the below graphic.
Building Entry Rules: Students must remain outside until the first bell at 7:55 AM. Students are not permitted inside the building early unless the main office officially announces an indoor line-up due to inclement weather.
Front Entrance Restrictions: Students are not permitted to use the front entrance to access the building unless they are reporting directly to the main office, ETV or the nurse’s office.
Driver Awareness: Drivers must proceed slowly, stay alert, completely avoid cell phone use, and follow all signals from the staff on duty.
E-Bikes and E-Scooters: In accordance with New Jersey law, students under the age of 15 are not permitted to ride electric bicycles or electric scooters to, on, or from school grounds.
Character Awards
We are proud to recognize students who have been selected as Eisenhower Generals. These students have demonstrated the character, leadership, responsibility, and perseverance that help make our school community strong. Through their daily actions and positive example, they represent the values we strive to build at Eisenhower each day. Congratulations to all of our Eisenhower Generals recipients, and thank you for the many ways you contribute to our school community.

Book Fair
The Scholastic Book Fair was a terrific success with over $7,500 worth of sales! Students were excited to select new books and school items, which raises funds that help us purchase new books for our school library and classrooms. We would like to thank the PTO for their promotion of the event and our parents for their time and support. A huge thank you to Mrs. Hazley for all of her hard work and coordination to make this event successful and help encourage a love of reading in our student.
