Hello Parents, Families, and Community Members,

Although we are getting closer to spring, March is our snowiest month so please make sure your students come dressed for the weather. We often go outside even if the weather is not ideal. As a reminder, we will have parent-teacher conferences March 18th and 19th. Schedules can get confusing during conference. Please see the conference schedule below.

Half Day instead of early release half day programs will not have school the first Friday of each month. In order for our half day staff to get the same time with colleagues.

Book Bags

Classrooms have started to visit the school’s library once a week to check out a book. Parents should return both the book and the bag so students can receive a new book each week. This is a great way to get children excited about reading and a good way to get them used to being responsible and returning the book weekly.

Although some absences are unavoidable, it is important that students attend school as often as possible. Preschool is a great time to start building a habit of good attendance. Please note that we are allowing days for students to be absent for illness and do not want families to send children to school sick. Students are asked to stay home if they are experiencing any cold/flu like symptoms: fever, diarrhea or vommitting. Students need to be clear of the symtoms without being on any fever reducing or other medication for at least 24 hours prior to returning to school. If you would like to learn more about when to keep your child home click on how sick is too sick below. Students with 95% attendance in a month will receive a small token of appreciation from the school.
