Principal's Message
Good Evening Weymouth High School Community,
Homecoming Weekend
Friday night was full of school spirit as we celebrated our Homecoming football game. During the festivities, the Homecoming Court was announced, featuring:
Rafael Alcantara & Molly Hackett
Sam Abbott & Molly Tufts
Anthony Giannandrea & Reese Smith
A big congratulations to our 2025 Homecoming King and Queen: Seamus Egan and Julia Egan.
Our football team celebrated a victory over New Bedford, 34-0, bringing their record to 4-0. The fun continued on Saturday night with the Homecoming Dance, where everyone had an amazing time!
Weymouth HIgh Harmonies
Earlier this month, our choir teacher submitted our high school choir — the Weymouth High Harmonies — for consideration to perform at Carnegie Hall as part of a larger choral event. This week, they received incredible news: not only were they invited to participate, but were also offered a solo performance slot! That means our students would have 30 minutes of their own stage time at the iconic Carnegie Hall — a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity!
Our students continue to impress and inspire, and this honor is a direct reflection of their talent, dedication, and passion for music. Bravo, Weymouth High Harmonies!
Open House
We encourage our families to join us at Open House next week on Tuesday, September 30th at 6PM.
We welcome all families to join us in the Auditorium for a meet and greet at 5:30 with our Administration Team.
Senior Parents - Postsecondary information in the Library at 5:30 with Guidance
You should ask your child/children for a copy of their schedule to follow on that day. You will go directly to Period 1, not Homeroom, it will be Day A. You can also print the schedule from your Parent Portal in Aspen X2. If you forget your child/children’s schedule, both offices will have someone in the office that can print them for you.
Here is a presentation of our 25/26 clubs, many will be set up in the front connector during Open House. Check them out!
Unified Basketball
Our Unified Basketball team will have their first home game versus Braintree on Wednesday, October 1st at 2:45 PM. Come support our team.
Panorama Survey - Wildcat Way
In order to continue to make improvements to our school, we will be asking each student to complete a brief online survey during Wildcat Way on Monday, October 6th and again in the Spring. The survey will ask students to share their perspective on their own well being, student supports, and the overall WHS environment. The survey will take approximately 15 minutes to complete.
We are partnering with a third-party vendor, Panorama, to support us in administering these surveys and interpreting the data. The responses to these surveys will be completely confidential. We will utilize the information provided by students in this survey to adapt and improve our support of student needs.
If you have any questions or would like to opt your student out of this survey for this school year, please reach out to Brynn Cooper at brynn.cooper@weymouthps.org by Thursday, October 2nd.

Electronic Handbook Acknowledgement Forms
As part of our return to school procedures, parents and guardians are to receive a digital copy of the Student Handbook (see the link below) & sign and return the Acknowledgement Page back to your child(ren)'s teacher.
We also have instructions here to complete the process electronically.
During Open House, we will have paper copies of the Acknowledgement Form available. In addition to the different policies of the district, this form has special releases to showcase your child's work through our media sources as well as share contact information with our Parent Council.
Please review the handbook and digitally sign in Aspen or print this form and send it back to the Maroon or Gold office as soon as possible.
Have a great week!
