The seniors voted and the results are in........

Homecoming is September 26.....to celebrate we will dress up Sept 22-26. All of these you could dress up as individually, as a duo, or in a group! Let's see that MHS Spirit for the 50th Mitchell High Homecoming: Tradition never dies!!!

We (your teachers and admin) want you to make it to class. If you are late for class, there are consequences. Here is the policy. You can also find it in the Student Handbook.

TARDY POLICY

• Three (3) Tardies per class = 1 lunch detention. If the student shows up with a note, that is not a tardy, the detention will be waived.

• When a report is run for tardies, it shows tardies for each class and then provides a total number of tardies.

• This requires attendance to be taken at the very beginning of class.

• Teachers should write a note or send an email if a student is going to be late for a lesson to maintain consistency. Consistency is crucial in helping the school achieve growth for its students.

If a student arrives late without a note, they are tardy.

3 tardies = 1 lunch detention

6 tardies = 2 lunch detentions

9 tardies = 3 lunch detentions

The office will assign lunch detentions based on the weekly report.

Detention Specifications:

• Lunch Detention: Students report to a designated area during lunch to serve their detention time.

Failure to Complete:

• Students who fail to complete detentions for tardies will receive consequences based on Mitchell High School discipline matrix.

FURTHER INFORMATION ON PARKING AT MHS:

At Mitchell High School, driving is a privilege. This privilege may be suspended for severe behavior as determined by the administration. (Examples of serious misbehavior include leaving campus without permission, repeated tardiness for classes, substance abuse, etc.)
