Car Riders - Arrival and Dismissal Procedures
Drop-Off Procedures
Enter the parking lot through the Northeast entrance (closest to Pizza Hut) and park in the Parent Parking Lot (highlighted in green on the map).
After parking, walk your child to the playground gate, where one of our friendly staff members will be waiting to greet them with a smile and help them to their classroom. To help students build independence and keep our morning routine running smoothly, parents will say their goodbyes at the playground gate.
Safety Reminder: The lane closest to the school building is closed to vehicle traffic to ensure a safe crosswalk for families. After your child has been greeted by a staff member, please use extra caution when backing out of your parking spot and exit through the Northwest exit (closest to GHS).
Pick-Up Procedures
Enter the parking lot through the Northeast entrance (closest to Pizza Hut) and park in the Parent Parking Lot (highlighted in green on the map). You may wait outside the playground gate until students are dismissed by their teachers.
As classes exit the building, students will remain with their class and line up in their designated location inside the gate. Once all classes are in place, families will be invited inside the gate to pick up their child.
We know your child will be excited to see you and may want to run to greet you. Please remind them to stay in line until you have checked in with their classroom teacher—this helps us ensure every student is safely matched with their family. For safety reasons, children will only be released to adults listed on their Skyward account. Staff may request identification to verify authorization.
When returning to your vehicle, please hold your child’s hand as you walk through the parking lot and use extra caution when backing out of your parking space. You will exit through the Northwest exit (closest to GHS).
Bus Riders -- Arrival & Dismissal Procedures
Arrival
Children should be ready and waiting at their assigned bus stop at least 10 minutes before the scheduled pick-up time.
An authorized adult must be present to accompany your child to and from the bus.
Student bus stop and pick-up times can be found on Skyward Family Access OR through the First View App. This app will also be used to let you know if the bus is running late.
Dismissal
An authorized adult must be present at the assigned bus stop to receive your child when they exit the bus. If no authorized adult is present and we are unable to reach you by phone, the following procedures will be followed:
AM Students will be returned to Bright Futures.
PM Students will be taken to the local police station, as staff will not be available at the school.
Bright Futures follows a three-strike policy for bus pick-up:
If the bus arrives and no authorized adult is present, it counts as one strike.
After three strikes, bus privileges will be temporarily suspended.
