Skyview families,

I hope your students are enjoying their day off today. Over the next two weeks, we look forward to welcoming families back to Skyview for fall parent-teacher conferences.

In response to feedback from families, we are using a different conference format on our more typical format on the second. Please read the information below carefully and reach out with any questions.

Sincerely,

Jeff

Parent Teacher Conferences

Over the past two years, families have shared concerns about long wait times and the challenge of walking throughout the building to meet with teachers, particularly for families with students in multiple grades.

To attempt to address these concerns we are offering two separate conference formats this fall.

Thursday, October 8th: Gymnasium Conferences

On this night, all teachers will hold conferences in the gymnasium.

Parents will still enter through the main entrance and go to the cafeteria to pick up their student’s schedule and other important documents. You will receive a map with a layout of the gymnasium so you can find your student’s teachers.

Tuesday, October 13: Classroom Conferences

On our second conference night, all teachers will use the format that has been more typical in recent years, with teachers holding conferences in their classroom.

Regardless of which evening you attend, please remember that conferences are designed to provide brief updates from teachers and should last approximately five minutes. If you would benefit from a longer conversation with one of your student’s teachers, please arrange a separate meeting with that teacher.
