A Message from Mr. Larsen

Dear KMMS Families,

I hope the school year is off to a great start for yourself and your student(s). I have thoroughly enjoyed working with our students, and I am excited about and looking forward to a safe and productive Homecoming Week at KMMS. Please take a peak below for all Homecoming information.

Student Dress Up Days

Monday: Minion Mayhem

Tuesday: Teacher-Student Swap

Wednesday: Activity All-Star

Thursday: Hawaiian Day

Friday: KoMets Spirit Day

Homecoming Friday

  • Homecoming Parade @ 10:15 AM
  • KoMets Volleyball vs. Owatonna @ 1:15 PM (See note below)
  • KoMets Football vs. Providence Academy @ 7:00 PM

Volleyball Information

  • All 7/8 volleyball players will be dismissed at 12:45 PM to walk to KMHS with their respective coaches for the K-M vs. Owatonna match. All 7/8 volleyball players are excused by coaches - no need to call the office.
  • If your child would like to attend the match, call the office (634-4030) before Friday at 9:00 AM to inform us of your child’s attendance. If you choose to take your child to the match, you must accompany them to the high school for the duration of the game.

  • Students without a parent or guardian will be asked to leave or transported back to KMMS. Mr. Larsen will be present during the match to ensure middle school students are properly supervised by their parent or guardian. Students not following school expectations will receive consequences.

  • Students are only allowed to leave with their parents or guardians and are not allowed to leave with another child’s parent or guardian.

  • Please know I am firm on these expectations. Thank you for your understanding.

KMMS Community Service Day

I am excited about our annual KMMS Community Service Day. This is a great opportunity for our students to give something back to our terrific communities. Community Service Day is scheduled for Tuesday, October 13. More information will be shared as we get closer. Stay tuned...

Parent-Teacher Conferences

Conferences will be held on Thursday, October 22, from 3:30–6:30 PM. This is a valuable opportunity to meet with your child’s teachers, review their progress, and discuss ways we can work together to support their success. Strong partnerships between home and school make a meaningful difference in each student’s growth, and we encourage you to join us in this important conversation.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and understanding during a busy yet exciting Homecoming Week. We all want the Kasson-Mantorville Homecoming experience to be memorable and positive for our students and families. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the KMMS office. We can be reached at 507-634-4030.

Together in KoMet Pride,

Josh Larsen, Principal

Did you know your Hy-Vee receipts can help support our students? Last year, thanks to the generosity of our families and community, we raised an incredible $1,076.43 through the Hy-Vee Cash program!

It’s an easy way to give back—simply turn in your Hy-Vee receipts to the middle school office and your everyday grocery shopping can help provide additional support and opportunities for our students.

Every receipt makes a difference, and every dollar adds up! Thank you for helping make our schools and students stronger.

Keep those receipts coming!
