Welcome to the BHS Express
A newsletter keeping you informed about Batavia High School
Hello Bulldog Families.
We hope you all stayed safe and warm with our early December snow! We know BHS students certainly appreciated the snow day and found ways to occupy themselves.
Our winter sports teams are all in action throughout this month. Make sure to check the athletic schedule on our website to see if you have time to attend one of their games/matches. The student-athletes always appreciate the support from BHS students and our community.
This week, BHS kicked off the holiday season with a band concert on Wednesday. It is always so fun to watch our talented students perform. If you missed the band concert, no worries! Join us next Wednesday, December 10th, for our choir concert. I particularly enjoy these performances as it helps me get into the holiday spirit!
I wanted to also make sure you are noting that the end of the second quarter/first semester is quickly approaching. It’s important to help your students stay focused on finishing strong. Help them check Progress Book and Google Classroom to make sure all work is turned in on time so they can go into the winter break without worry.
We hope you all have a great weekend, and don’t hesitate to reach out if you have any questions.
In service to our Bulldogs.

Hello Families,
Looks like the weather and temperatures may not be warming up too much the next couple weeks. Tuesday’s record snow fall was an early surprise for sure. Please continue to remind student drivers to allow enough time when leaving for school in the morning.
Congratulations to all involved in the band concert this past week. Their hard work definitely showed this past Wednesday evening. Nice job to all!
Just a quick reminder: anyone purchasing a parking pass for the second semester will be charged a prorated $20 per board policy, not the full $40.
Lastly, good luck to all the winter sports teams as their seasons begin.
Thank you, and have a nice weekend.
Joe Moorehead, Dean of Students

Junior Evan Connor Enjoyed a Visit to Purina
Evan met Spot the robot dog and spent the afternoon with the IT Department to learn about career options after high school.

The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) for students entering or attending college for the 2026-27 academic year is up and running! Any student that is thinking about attending any type of education/training after high school should complete the FAFSA - technical school, trade school, community college, public university, or private university.
