Call for Presentations

We are excited to announce that the Call for Proposals for concurrent sessions for the 52nd Annual MoASSP Spring Conference is open! We look forward to hearing about your practices that are making a positive impact on student engagement and achievement. We know that each of you are doing great things, and we want you to share your expertise!

Priority deadline for proposals: Friday, January 31, 2025, 4:00 p.m.

SUBMIT YOUR PROPOSAL

Presentations will be:

1. 50-60 minutes in length.
2. Presented on Monday, March 31.
3. Connected to the School Leader Paradigm leadership and organizational contexts.

MoASSP will not accept proposals solely by business members; however, should a MoASSP member wish to involve a business in a presentation, this is acceptable. Please check with MoASSP in advance.

You will be informed of the status of your proposal (selected/not selected) by Friday, February 7, 2025.

Please consider the following topics for presentation proposals, but feel free to go beyond this list:

• Effective evaluation strategies
• Attendance practices
• Using technology in leadership
• School Branding/Identification/Marketing
• MSIP 6 strategies
• Leadership development

• Youth apprenticeship programs

• Navigating employee issues
  

• Tough conversations
• Assisting with instructional improvement
• Best practices for measuring and improving attendance, grades, and behavior
• Creating strong assessments and interventions for student growth and success
• Creating a positive building culture
• Positive community and school relation
  
• Time management and balancing all of the responsibilities of the job
• Building leadership teams
  
• Trauma-informed schools
• Items for the small school
• Dealing with multiple responsibilities in one administrator schools
• Administrative self-care and mental health
• New Principals
• Science of Reading approaches focusing on Phonemic Awareness, Phonics, Fluency, Vocabulary, or Comprehension.

Please share this with others on your administrative staff as well as specialists/experts in areas that support the work of MoASSP.
