Art to Remember ~ BES and BIS

Hi families and friends,

Our school is participating in a creative fundraiser with Art to Remember that allows you to purchase keepsake products customized with your child's art. There are over 60 products and many are less than $20. These make great gifts and a percentage of every purchase goes right back to our school. BIS Volleyball for Veterans

BIS is hosting its 3rd annual Volleyball for Veterans! Please consider donating money towards Operation Bugle Boy. We will present the money that was fundraised during the Veterans Day Assembly on Friday, November 6th. The class that wins will get an extra recess and popsicles!

KidSight Vision Screening ~ Elementary and Intermediate

KidSight will be visiting the Elementary and Intermediate students to provide vision screenings. The screenings are fast and easy. Each family who participates will receive a report of their child's screening results.

All students will participate unless an OPT OUT of vision screening message is sent to students respective offices. For elementary please email Carrie Wolken at cwolken@blairoaks.org. For Intermediate please email cneeley@blairoaks.org.

BIS AMI Packets

It may be hard to believe, but we are already prepping for winter weather! Students will start coming home with AMI packets. In the event we have inclement weather and proceed with an alternative method of instruction day, also known as an AMI day, we want to ensure our students and families are prepared. Please keep an eye out for these packets coming home in the back of student folders or in a separate envelope. These packets are not to be completed or utilized unless directly instructed to do so by Mr. Schrimpf, Mrs. Bishop or classroom teachers. Should we have an AMI day, we will use our typical methods of communication.

Home & School

All parents (grades PK-5) are welcome to join Home & School! This is our version of a PTA and provides an opportunity for parents to become involved with the school by taking leadership in planning yearly teacher appreciation incentives, extra-curricular events, and support for students and teachers. Meetings are held monthly and anyone can join at any time!
