Principal Duckworth's Notes

On Monday, March 9, we had a meeting regarding our move to 3333 South Westnedge. Below you will find the presentation that was shone during the meeting. It is a slide show so just hit the space bar to move to the next slide. You will also find a Q & A on the last page. There you may write any questions that you have and those questions will be answered for everyone to see.

This week we will have a short week seeing that we do not have school on Thursday, March 19 nor Friday, March 20. On the 19th, the district will be having a full day of Professional Development. Friday we are off because it is Records Day. Therefore, please make arrangements for childcare for those days.

Our Reading Racoons group, coached by Mrs. Klick, will compete in the Branch Global Reading Challenge on Tuesday, March 17 from 6:30 -8:00 pm. They will compete against Lincoln and Woodward Elementary Schools. The winner from this will go on to compete for the Final Global Reading Challenge. So come on out and cheer on our Reading Racoons! We want that trophy back in our showcase!!

Please join us for our virtual P.T.O. meeting on Thursday, March 19 at 5:00 pm. The meeting are pretty short but productive. I am sure they will be talking about upcoming conference meals, The Global Reading Challenge and lots more information that you may need. Unfortunately, I will be out of town for this meeting.

Please join us on Saturday, March 21, 1:00 pm at Chenery Auditorium. (Doors open at 12:30 pm. Free!) They expect that the Spelling Bee will end by 3:00 pm. Come help cheer on our Northglade representatives, Gavin Cundiff and Jude Mix. Please support the two of them. I will be out of town and will not be able to make it.
