The Weekly Update #4
October 10th, 2026

PSAT Day for Seniors
During the PSAT, Seniors who are not taking the ASVAB or have other Graduation Testing to do, will have the unique and exciting opportunity to participate in a civic activity rather than coming to school and sitting in the auditorium until the PSAT is done.
On October 14, seniors do not need to come to school, as long as they are participating in a civic activity. Seniors will have an excused absence on this day. On the Day of Civic Activity (Oct. 14), seniors will fill out a Google Form with information about their civic activity to verify their participation. This form will be available in their grade level Schoology and in Connect Ed communication on the day of PSATs. Examples of civic activity include volunteering, voting early, participating in a campaign, helping at a voting location, contacting representatives, visiting a local historic site and more!
Any senior who does not participate in Civic Day must report to school on time at 9:30 AM and head to the Auditorium for a study hall, where the Bell-to-Bell Student Device Law will be enforced. Missing school because you are not required to take a PSAT test is not an excused absence, UNLESS you participate in Civic Day.
