Get School Psych'd
May 2019
monthly newsletter for LSSPs in Region 10
Letter from the 'Editor'
Hello LSSPs,
We have made it to the final month of the school year!
In meeting and talking with so many LSSPs, I know that the amount of evaluations that you are dealing with right now is staggering. We recently received SPP data from the state for 2017-18 and it showed an almost 14% increase in initial consents signed. That seems like a massive jump, but I can only imagine what the data will show when the dust settles for this year!
While there is still plenty to take care of for this school year, I know many already have an eye to the future. Whether it is a new plan, a new role, or a new job, the winds of change are blowing. We are hard at work in planning for next year and I can't wait to share more with you once we get things finalized. Check out the bottom of this issue for a little preview of what we have planned for 2019-20!
We will continue to with a (slimmed-down) summer edition of Get School Psych'd over the summer and be ready to come back in full force in August. If you are among those looking at new opportunities, don't forget to subscribe with your new email address if needed so you don't miss out!
Stay School Psych'd!
