9.11.26 PLES Newsletter
Dear PLES Families,
We had another fantastic week of learning! Our students are doing a wonderful job taking care of themselves, each other, and our school. This week, we learned how to use sign language to express our core values of caring for ourselves, one another, and our school environment. We also focused on recess behavior and discussed how to be "bucket fillers" on the playground.
Our students are demonstrating future-ready skills every day! Be sure to check out the graphic to see how our PBIS framework aligns with the Profile of a Future Ready AG Graduate.
Join us tonight for the PTA Block Party from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM! See below for details and volunteer opportunities.

Learning Spotlight
PLES receives Federal Title I funds to assist students in meeting state achievement standards. Throughout the school year, we will be providing you with important information about this law and your child's education. The letter below lets you know about your right to request information about the qualifications of the classroom staff working with your child.
PBIS
Today, we kicked off our PBIS (Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports) program with our first assembly! Students learned how to earn individual Bucket Bucks and whole-class Bucket Points by showing positive behaviors across the school. Bucket Bucks can be redeemed at classroom stores, and classes will work together toward shared goals for bucket points.
AGHS Friday Night Football Games
We love the #AGSDpride that our entire school community shows at our Friday night home football games. As a reminder, all family members are expected to sit in the stands to enjoy the game, cheer squad, and marching band. Beginning on Friday, September 18, the “hill” near the home stands will no longer be accessible. Spectators who want to enjoy Kona Ice, can visit the truck by using the gate near concession stand. Thank you for your partnership and support for AG athletics!
