Welcome back Colt families! As the Family Engagement Liaison, my job is to empower families to play an active role in their children's education. We believe families play a huge role in student success! Each month, I will post a newsletter with information about upcoming events and pictures from last month's fun activities. Reach out to me for any questions regarding family events, volunteering opportunities, and parent and community resources. I look forward to getting to know each of our LRPS families!

Family Engagement - Langston Road Primary School

We are happy to announce that parents may walk their students into the classroom on the first day of school. After dropping off your student, join us in the cafeteria for a Boohoo Yahoo party. There will be a light breakfast and some fun activities for parents.

Students will come home with information about the Pop It fundraiser. This is a great opportunity to help our school earn money for improvements and for your student to win some cool prizes.

Join us in the library after morning drop-off for our first ever "Coffee after Carline" meeting. This month, we will chat about "A Day in the Life of a Colt" and what a day in the life of your student looks like at school. Each month, we will have a different topic to discuss with our LRPS families.

The best way to stay in communication with your student's teacher and school staff is through the HCSD App. If you need help signing on to the app, call us at 478-988-6148 for assistance.

A breakfast and lunch is available every day to each student at no cost to families. Additional items including snacks, drinks, or ice cream may be purchased at the register.

LRPS uses PBIS (Positive Behavior Intervention and Support) to promote safety and appropriate behavior. Our goal is to recognize and reward students who uphold our schools STAR expectations. Throughout the year, we will have a STAR parties to celebrate students who have earned enough points by meeting the STAR expections.
