Dear Windsong Ranch Elementary Families,

What a spooktacular week at the Ranch! We loved seeing so many Windsong Ranch families at our Trunk or Treat event on Thursday. A huge thank you to our amazing PTO for organizing such a fun and festive night full of treats, costumes, and community spirit!

We’re excited to honor all Windsong Ranch family members who have served or are currently serving in any branch of the military. On Tuesday, November 11, we will hold a small parade in front of the school at 9 AM, followed by a breakfast at 10 AM at the Commons in Windsong Ranch. Veterans should plan to arrive by 8:30 AM to meet their student(s). Please sign up by Friday, November 7th using this link.

We will also be creating a slideshow to celebrate our Veterans. Please send a photo of your service member to Holly Gadberry by Friday, November 7, and include the following:

name, branch, and rank of service member
student's name and relation
teacher's name

If you submitted your photo last year, please confirm with Ms. Holly that we have it and can use that one again this year.

Enjoy the weekend and we'll see you back at the Ranch on Monday morning.

Grandparents and Special Friends 2-day Event

We’re excited to welcome our grandparents and special friends to WRE’s annual Grandparents & Special Friends Day on November 20th and 21st. Join us for a traditional Thanksgiving meal and celebrate together as a school community. Please fill out this form for each student you have attending WRE, even if your family will not be participating in the special day. This information helps us plan for the 2-day event. The form closes on Friday, 11/14.

Richland High School Youth Wrestling

We’re excited to announce that Richland High School is hosting Youth Wrestling Sessions for future wrestlers. These sessions are a great way for young athletes to build strength, confidence, and teamwork skills while having fun and learning from experienced coaches.

Cornerstone Christmas Donations

Please join Windsong Ranch Elementary in supporting Cornerstone Christmas, which brings joy to 350 local children by providing them with a magical Christmas experience. WRE Hope Squad and Strong Team are hosting a Gift Wrap Essentials Drive including wrapping paper, tape, bows, gift tags, medium and large gift bags and tissue paper.

Guidance Lessons

Mrs. Stenson will be visiting all kindergarten and first grade classrooms to complete anti-victimization lessons for those students who have an opt in only. Please reach out to Mrs. Stenson with questions.

Together We Champion

Our 3rd graders were putting their math skills to the test! Students tackled three-digit addition and subtraction problems while solving riddles to unlock the Breakout Boxes, boosting critical thinking in a fun, hands-on way. This engaging lesson was made possible through collaboration between our 3rd grade teachers and Mrs. G, our librarian.

Together We Cultivate

Our two fifth-grade leaders kicked off their service on the Superintendent’s Advisory Committee this week with their first meeting alongside Dr. Ferguson. Not only are they providing feedback to the district, they are building meaningful connections with peers across the district.
