Good Evening All Sinaloa Families,

Remember that every Monday our students start school at 9:10. This week we remember all of veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect our freedoms. Please be sure to thank a veteran on Veteran's day this Tuesday, Nov. 11th. We have NO SCHOOL on Tuesday due to this national holiday.

CANNED FOOD DRIVE - The Sinaloa Community has always been generous during the holiday season and this year we are counting on your generosity again. Over the past few years I have asked you to bring in Canned/ NON Perishable Items for the Simi Valley Food Bank at the Samaritan Center. In the past when you have reached the goal I have gotten a pie to the face. This year if the Sinaloa community can collect 2000 items by Friday, Nov. 21st I will sleep on the roof of the school. YES... you heard that right Mr. Rumble will sleep over night on the roof if we bring in 2000 cans for the food bank. Let's make this happen and support a great cause! To get 2000 items we ONLY need every student to bring in 3 items. YOU'VE GOT THIS SABERS!

SVUSD SCHOOL CLIMATE SURVEY - On Weds, Nov. 12th ALL students will take the School Climate Survey during their Flex Period. This survey asks students how they feel about their classes and how they feel they learn best. This survey allows students to inform the administration and the district how they feel about their classes, teachers and the administration. We appreciate their participation in this survey.

CALIFORNIA HEALTHY KIDS SURVEY (CHKS)- Every other year our 6th and 7th grade students have an opportunity to express how they feel about school safety, the learning environment and to help combat issues like drugs and violence in schools. As 7th grade parents IF YOU DO NOT want your students to participate in this survey we would need you to OPT OUT of this survey. Otherwise they will take this survey in their science classes 11/13/25. As 6th grade parents if you would like your student to participate in the CHKS survey you will need to OPT IN. Here is the link to the letter that explains what questions students will be asked and how to OPT OUT. 7th GRADE LETTER - OPT OUT 6th GRADE LETTER - OPT IN

SINALOA SCHOOL OF CHOICE NEWS - Sinaloa will begin tours on Tuesday, 12/2/25 at 9:00 AM. We will have school tours every Tuesday at 9:00 AM until Feb. 3rd. These tours are for all incoming 6th/ 7th and 8th graders. Please tell your friends. HERE is the TOUR LINK to sign up for a tour.

LOST AND FOUND - All this week the items from our lost and found will be outside the main office. Please have your students check for any items that that your student may have lost. We have water bottles, clothing, lunch boxes and various other items. Any items left unclaimed by Friday, November 21st will be donated to charity.

ROYAL HIGH SCHOOL TOURS - Royal High School has started tours for all incoming students on Wednesdays and Fridays at 9:00 AM. Please see the flyer to get more information.

Students, please continue to work hard in your classes. Our 15 week progress reports will be out on Nov. 16th. This is the last progress report before FINAL SEMESTER GRADES and due to the holidays, students you will only have 4 weeks to get your grade up not the normal 5 weeks. Don't wait until the last minute to get those grade up. If there are any parents that still need help accessing Aeries to complete your Data Confirmation or to sign the Sinaloa Student Handbook form, please contact the main office for help @ 805 520 - 6830

Sabers, let's have another great week!

As we continue our school year, we want to remind all of our students and families about following the traffic laws and safety procedures to keep everyone safe. We are seeing more parents pulling into our parking lot from the 2nd left lane on Royal. This is very dangerous as there are cars trying to turn left from the middle medium. We have also seen parents pull into our parking lot using the exit only driveway. Since our parents use both sides of the driveway to exit this is also very dangerous. We have notified SVPD to help us with this so please be aware they will be on Royal giving tickets. Our students and staff participate in monthly emergency drills to prepare everyone in case of an emergency this month will be a fire drill.

Our faculty and staff are here to help you with any of your questions so please don't hesitate to contact us @ (805) 520-6830

Sincerely,

Principal Shawn Rumble
