TECHNOLOGY DAY: your resource for Student Engagement, High-Level Thinking, and Lesson Enhancement

The Instructional Technology Department is out on just about every campus at least once a month for technology day. On this day, we provide you with district technology updates, the latest and greatest technology tools, and last but not least, we provide a resource for you to successfully integrate technology into your classroom in a way that is most effective for you and your students. You can ask us for training on specific technology applications you're interested in, or just bring your lesson plans and we will help you find the right technology tool for the job. We will help you plan, execute, and review your lesson to ensure that it is engaging, relevant, and rigorous. To take advantage of this awesome resource, go to your campus OneNote and look for the Technology section. In the section, you will find your technology day schedule and a form you can use to request our help. We look forward to working with you!

Flipgrad AR

Now you can use Flipgrid AR to make your students' physical artifacts come to life. This works great for a project gallery walk. Have students create a video in Flipgrid explaining/describing their project. Print the QR code for the video and attach it to the project. When the viewer uses the Flipgrid app to scan the code, the video will pop into their field of vision. This would also be a great tool to display student work for a parent night as well. Check out a demo and more information below.

Close all of your Safari tabs at once

So you're checking all of the iPads after a full day of use, and notice that some them have 50 or more tabs open in Safari. Instead of closing each one individually, all you have to do is long press on the new tab button (top right) and you will get a menu that allows you to close all tabs at once.
