Mission: We strive for excellence, encourage growth, and build a supportive community through teamwork and high expectations.
#expectmoreBEmore
Hello Bethel Buccaneers, this is your principal Mrs. Bell and assistant principal Ms. Tolar with your weekly update. We hope that everyone had a wonderful weekend! Let's make it a great week! Go BUCS!
Good Things at Bethel School:
- We celebrated over 130 students and families that have paid their school fees! These fees go directly to support our school, students, and staff!
- 2nd Grade has the least amount of office referrals for the entire school year!
- The firetruck and firefighters from Bethel came to meet with our students. Students had the opportunity to engage with real life firemen and learn more about the career and equipment.
- We hosted our first Friday of Middle School clubs this week!
Check out our facebook page to learn about more awesome things that are happening on our campus!
CKH Character Trait for October: Out October character trait is Self Direct. Self-Direction is the ability and learned skill to cast a vision of future goals and then take intentional steps toward who, where, and what we want to be. Instead of focusing on things to control or avoid, we emphasize our responsibility to make positive choices related to our emotions, attitudes, and actions. (Family Challenge)
Parent Conferences: Students will not have school on October 12th. This day will be reserved for Parent Conferences and our Title I: Shining the Light on Literacy Event (4:30 - 6:30). Please schedule a time to meet with your child's teacher AND plan to attend our Literacy Stations!
Shine the Light on Literacy Event: Our Encore teachers will host a literacy night on Monday October 12, 2026 from 4:00 pm - 6:00 pm. This is an opportunity for families to learn literacy strategies that can be completed at home along with learn tools that can help students to better understand the content. We will host the Public Library and students get sign up for library cards and learn about the fun events being hosted at the library. This event is for all grade levels, the home room with the most attendees will receive a Pizza Party!
Car Rider Line: We are asking all parents in the morning and afternoon to pull their vehicle all the way to the yellow pole. The car line should begin at the yellow pole in the morning drop off and the afternoon pick up. Please be mindful that we want safety to be our top concern: cars should NOT pass any car in the line, cars should be mindful of the merge (one car from each lane), and parents should ensure that students are properly secured in the car.
Ban on Distractions: Our teachers and parents representatives agree that there will be a schoolwide ban on fidgets, toys, stuffed animals, baby dolls, makeup, squishies, fingernails, hair products (any thing that distracts students from learning. Students will receive a warning and then this will result in an office referral.
