Principal's Message
Dear Wall High School students, families, and staff:
End of Marking Period 1
November 5th is the end of the first marking period. Please remember to check the parent portal to monitor your child’s attendance as well as grades and assignments. Please encourage your child to communicate with their teachers in regards to any missing assignments and to turn in all work before the end of the marking period. Let’s finish the first marking period strong! Report cards will be posted to the Genesis Parent Portal at the end of the school day on Monday, November 17th.
Fall Sports Playoffs
As we near the end of the fall sports season we encourage students and families to continue to come out and support our teams that are still competing in their respective state tournaments. Click the button below for the athletic schedule with the most up to date list of games and game times.
WHS Fall Drama
The WHS Fall Drama this year is Eurydice. The shows are November 20 at 7PM, November 21 at 7PM, and November 22 at 1PM and 5PM and all shows are in the Wall Intermediate School Auditorium. See below this section for a synopsis of the show and a link to purchase tickets.
Auditorium Renovations and Athletic Field Upgrades
The renovations to the auditorium are almost complete, and we look forward to opening the space for students, staff, and families in the very near future. Please look below for a picture of the new space!
Work will begin in the next few weeks on athletic field upgrades on the school campus behind the high school. You can click here for descriptions and images of the upgrades on the district Athletics webpage.
The athletic field upgrades include:
- New running track
- Two turf fields
- New bleachers on the track stadium field
- New sports lighting
- Drainage
- Concrete sidewalks & lighting
The new Wall Athletic Track Stadium will include an eight lane running track with two straights, athletic turf field for football, field hockey, soccer, & lacrosse. The project also includes new home & away bleachers, a press box, and sports lighting.
The current Wall Athletic Stadium will be resurfaced with an athletic turf field lined for soccer, lacrosse, & field hockey. The existing home bleachers and press box will remain, but the visitor bleachers will be removed to allow for a wider field. The project includes new fencing, sidewalks, and sports lighting.
We look forward to these awesome upgrades to our athletic fields!
Fall Field Testing
The high school is required to participate in a field test to prepare for new assessments in the spring of 2026: the New Jersey Student Learning Assessment–Adaptive (NJSLA-Adaptive) and the New Jersey Graduation Proficiency Assessment–Adaptive (NJGPA-Adaptive). Ms. McCann's letter from October 14th is linked below for your reference and it provides more details.
All 9th, 10th, and 11th grade students will participate in the field testing which will take place in the morning on November 13th and November 14th. 12th graders will only be required to participate in the math NJGPA field testing if they were enrolled in Algebra II during 11th grade.
The high school will run a bell schedule similar to the PSAT/YouScience testing day and more details will be shared with students and parents as we approach the testing dates. Seniors who are not testing will use the allotted testing time to work on college applications with their School Counselors and/or to use the time as a study hall both mornings.
School Closed for NJEA Conference
And please remember that school is closed on Thursday, November 6th and Friday, November 7th.

WHS Fall Drama: Eurydice
Eurydice is a poetic reimagining of the Greek myth of Orpheus and Eurydice, which is told from her perspective. It begins as Eurydice dies on her wedding day and follows her journey in the Underworld, where she is reunited with her father but loses her memory. While there, she must choose between staying with her father in the Underworld or following her husband, Orpheus, back to the land of the living. The play explores themes of love, loss, memory, and grief through a surreal and beautiful lens, featuring magical realism and a unique perspective on the original story.
The shows are November 20 at 7PM, November 21 at 7PM, and November 22 at 1PM and 5PM and all shows are in the Wall Intermediate School Auditorium. Tickets can be purchased in advance using the button below.

🎇 Staff Spotlight
Congratulations Coach Garry Linstra!
The Wall Crimson Knights Boys Soccer Program made History when beating Point Pleasant Beach 5 to 1.
With that win our very own HEAD COACH GARRY LINSTRA collected his 300th career win.
Garry has been the boys head coach for for the past 25 years beginning in 2002. He has led the Crimson Knights to NJSIAA STATE SECTIONAL TITLES in 2004, 2019 and 2022. Garry captured the overall NJSIAA STATE TITLE in 2004
Garry has become just the 4th soccer coach in Shore Conference History to win 300 plus games. The most impressive aspect of this elite accomplishment is the way Coach Linstra has gotten here.
The care, guidance, and values he has instilled in every athlete who comes through the program. The culture built on hard work, respect, and teamwork, where kids grow not only as players but as people. The time, effort, and heart he puts into developing young athletes and supporting them on and off the field truly make a difference.
Thank you COACH LINSTRA for leading with integrity, passion, and commitment — and for always putting the kids first. Your impact will be felt for years to come CONGRATULATIONS!

🍽️ Lunch Information
Message Regarding Doordash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc.
Please be advised, WHS will not accept food deliveries from services such as DoorDash, Grubhub, Uber Eats, etc. for students in our school. While we understand the convenience these services provide, they create significant disruptions within our main office. More importantly, allowing outside food/lunch deliveries raises concerns about the safety and security of our students and staff.
Please note: Parents and guardians are still permitted to drop off lunch for students who may have forgotten their meals. However, we ask that you coordinate these drop-offs directly through our main office to ensure a smooth process.
Thank you for your understanding and support as we prioritize the well-being and security of our school community.
Mr. Davis
