What a year! So much to be Grateful For and to Celebrate! We are so thankful for our fabulous Students, Chef's Kiss Staff, super supportive Administrators and generous Community Partners! A very, Very, VERY special THANKS to The Enoch Cobb Fund -- Their support makes possible so much for our students across the district and certainly in the Arts! THANK YOU ALL!

The BHS Art and Fashion Shows Rocked the House! We laughed, we cried, we cheered like maniacs and we welled up with pride at our fabulous School community! A huge congratulations and thanks for all of the talented, hardworking students and staff who made the night such a momentous success and three million cheers for the incomparable BHS Art Department Staff who shepherded the whole night into being! We're hugely excited to present this short film where our fab students explain their work and inspiration! Tremendous Community Partners Sarah Beal and Stone Dow from Channel 18 interviewed a selection of our students at the Barnstable Town Hall Show! Sulan Rodrigues (0.33), Nick Ramos (1:27), Lili Nguyen (2:30), Kaleb Jones (3:18), Rodrigo de Matos (4:17), and Ava Shea (5:37) are featured!

Another fantabulous show featured at stupendous community partners The Cultural Center of Cape Cod featuring the breathtaking work of juniors Sulan Rodriguez and Kayro Dos Santos! Sulan and Kayro's large format explorations of family culture and shifting perspectives wowed and inspired from the moment they went up on the wall -- "I can't believe high school students made this."

Take a look at another in a long line of Fab Collabs with Town Hall and Arts and Culture Coordinator Melissa Chartrand -- This time a it's an 8th Grade Art exhibition of Cordel Literature, inexpensive chapbooks or folhetos, that have circulated in Brazil for centuries and are now considered an important part of Brazilian folk and popular culture. 8th Grade BHS Art students retold or wrote stories that are meaningful to them and carved a block print to serve as the cover!

Massive thanks to Alec Sulkin, Head Writer and Producer of the animated series "Family Guy", for coming in to meet with Cartooning/Animation students to talk about the animation industry, breaking into show business and where he finds inspiration for the award winning television show! So inspirational for our students to connect in person with his imagination, professionalism and humor! Shout out to Rileigh Huber who "dressed the set", including a life size Seth MacFarland mannequin and welcoming signage, as well as a gold guest-of-honor throne!

Designer to SZA and Beyonce (and local Cape Coddah!) Kate Broadrick came and spoke with Ms. Butterfield's Fashion Design students! Her journey as an artist and as a business person was truly inspirational and impactful for all that attended so HUGE thanks and shout out Kate!

Mr. Miguel's students created Picasso inspired Portraits and displayed them in unused lockers! Crazy Fun!

Ms. Mueller's 8th Grade Art Classes created realistic eye portraits! Great job!
