Early Elementary Data

Remote days have been a huge success at the Early Elementary and we owe a lot of our success to our families. On our remote days, we had over 90% of our students in attendance. We averaged 95% of students showing up for remote learning! It definitely takes a village.

We have seen tremendous growth in the area of reading at the Early Elementary! Please continue to read with your child every night for at least 20 minutes. Together we can make a difference!

Update Your Student's Contact Information

  • Save the school's phone number in your phone so it is familiar to you if we need to contact you for any reason.
  • Call the school office with a change of phone number, email address, mailing address or if you need to add/delete an emergency contact.

Pickup/Bus Schedule

If you have any changes to your child's pickup or bus schedule please call the office by 2pm on full days and 11:15 am on half days. With the change of the 2020 school hours, the teachers do not always have time to check emails during school the day. Call the school office to relay any information you have given the teacher.

  • PPEE Office Phone Number: (269) 415-5300

The same process should be used with the transportation office.

Student Wellness

When calling in a sick child, please remember to include what symptoms your child is experiencing. This is important for keeping records of illnesses.

If your child is sent home from school with any symptoms, they may not return to school until the symptoms subside for a full 24hrs.

If your child goes to the doctor, the office will need a letter to dismiss your child's absence from school.

Winter Break Activities

Winter Break will start on December 19th and we will see our students back at school on January 4th. We will start our winter benchmark assessments immediately after we return from our holiday break. You can help your child be ready to show us how much they've learned by keeping them reading and writing over the holiday break. Make it fun and meaningful for them so that they find it enjoyable.

Here are a couple of ideas:

  • Read holiday stories as a family, taking turns reading pages or paragraphs.
  • Write a newsletter for family members about holiday activities.
  • Write a menu for a family meal.
  • Read a story and practice using funny voices for the different characters.
  • Write a movie review for a favorite movie or a product review for a favorite gift.
  • Write "Thank You" notes.
  • Make a game out of sign reading while traveling.

Please help your child get some practice during break so they are ready to show us how they are growing as readers, writers, and mathematicians.
