ILP-D Plans
In my meeting with the vendor to review current data and updates, they provided a comparison between the total number of ILP-D plans and the total students eligible. There is a slight disconnect in the fact that we currently have more plans than students eligible. This can be caused when ILP-Ds are not properly renewed or exited. Please review ILP-Ds as a part of your next data team meeting so that you can take steps to address any renewals or exits that may be needed as well as create plans for any newly identified students. Please keep in mind these plans are one informant for TISA funding and there should not be plans with red stop signs.
Vendor Ticket Updates
PCG TNPulse
Fidelity Checks are supposed to be operating normally, but in our trials a few of you have found this is not yet functioning correctly so the vendor is going to work directly with one of our leads to see it in real time for troubleshooting purposes. Please continue to conduct fidelity checks and use your alternate methods if you encounter issues with TNPulse.
Pearson aimswebPlus
Pearson is working to resolve any lingering roster issues though it is impacting only a small number. Thanks you to those who continue to keep me informed of challenges that you are experiencing as this allows the ticket with the vendor to be more fully detailed. Please know that they appreciate the screenshots and summaries that I have been able to provide in thanks to you!
Best Practices
The MEALS Approach has been successfully used in MSCS intervention classes for several years now. It outlines the essential components of intervention instruction.
- Multisensory
- Explicit
- Aligned to Student Need
- Language Based
- Systematic and Cumulative
