Dear North Trail Families -

It's hard to believe we are heading into the final week of October! As we wrap up the month, we are looking forward to another great week of learning, growing, and making memories together at North Trail.

Wear Your Orange and Black!

We know this is an exciting time of year for many of our students! We will be following our regular school schedules and programming throughout the week, but we invite students and staff to wear orange and black on Friday, October 30. We look forward to seeing some seasonal fun and Tiger spirit throughout the building!

Colder Weather Is Coming!

We have really enjoyed the unseasonably warm fall days this month! As Minnesotans, we know what's coming! With temperatures beginning to drop, we want to remind families to help students come to school dressed appropriately for the weather.

At North Trail, we value outdoor play and fresh air, and students will continue to head outside for recess when the real-feel temperature or wind chill is at or above 0°F.

Please help your child prepare by sending jackets, hats, gloves, and other warm-weather gear as temperatures change. As we move closer to winter, snow pants and boots will become important, too!

We also encourage families to label winter clothing whenever possible. Our lost and found tends to grow quickly this time of year!

Finishing October Strong!

As we close out October and head into November, we want to thank our families for your continued partnership. We've had a busy fall filled with learning, connections, and opportunities for our Tigers to shine. We appreciate all you do to support our students and staff each day.

Here's to a great final week of October. Go Tigers!

Warmly,

Mrs. Galarneau
Principal

We are looking for interested adults to lend an extra set of eyes to our soccer fields during recess! Our goal is to support safe, fair, and competitive play while still letting kids enjoy the game and work through the natural ups and downs of playing together. Volunteers will attend a brief training session (date/times to be determined). If this sounds like something you’d enjoy, please complete our interest form. We’d love to have you join us!

Attendance Line Communication Attendance Line Communication

If a student will be absent, a parent/guardian must call North Trail's attendance line at 651-460-1800 prior to 8:45 AM each day of the absence. You can call 24/7 and if no one answers, please leave a message. We ask that parents/guardians provide the reason for the absence at the time they call. If the school does not receive a call from the parent/guardian the day of the absence, the student’s absence is automatically marked as unexcused.
