Welcome to the Elev-eight, our weekly newsletter for 8th grade! Be sure to check here for all the important news and updates for your 8th grader.
In Science, students are continuing to learn about Atoms and Chemical and Physical Change. Our first test will be on Friday 9/11.
Starting on August 31, students will need to bring a book to read each day in class. Students are encouraged to check out a book from our library or bring one from home as part of our daily independent reading. Next week, we will begin reading Lamb to Slaughter and should have a skills test on 9/11.
Social Studies classes are working to examine the early interactions among Native Americans, European settlers, and Africans in North Carolina and the broader Atlantic World .
In Math, students are working with Single Rigid Transformations in the Coordinate Plane .
