A Message from Mrs. Klein
Greetings, UCE Families and Friends,
It has been a busy, fun-filled week! Today, our classes had their fall parties. With a week of a full moon and class parties, our teachers have earned a weekend!
Art Club started this week. If your child is in Art Club, please remember that payment is due no later than Wednesday, November 4th.
Our 4th and 5th graders completed ILEARN Checkpoint #1. Our 3rd graders will taking ILEARN Checkpoint #1 next Monday and Wednesday. Once the window closes and scores are available (after November 6th), we will upload those scores to Harmony.
Next week, our Kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd graders will be taking the iReady Math Screener. Students are taking this instead of NWEA Math this year. Parents of students who score "at risk" on the screeners will be notified once the window closes and scores are available. This assessment will be given in the fall, winter, and spring. The purpose of the screener is to identify students who are at risk for not meeting grade level proficiency and to pinpoint specific skill gaps early.
Remember that next Tuesday, November 3rd, there is NO SCHOOL for Staff Professional Development. There is no E-Learning- enjoy the day off!
You are loved at UCE,
Mrs. Klein

Veterans Day Help Needed!
We have one of my very favorite celebrations coming up on November 11th- our annual Veterans Day breakfast and program, put on by our UCE PTO! Information has already gone out asking for anyone interested in signing a family member who is a veteran up to come to our school for breakfast from 9:00 to 10:00 a.m., followed by our Veterans Day program at 10:00 until 10:30.
To be able to do this, we will need donations of food/drinks/items and volunteers. If you are interested and able, please click the button below. This is such a wonderful way to honor those who have sacrificed so much for us and our country!

A Peek at Our Week
Mrs. Roberson's kindergarteners celebrated the 50th day of school by having a 50's themed day! They participated in fun activities, all while dressed up for the occasion.
For "Dress as Your Favorite Teacher Day," we were seeing a lot of Miss Lusticks!
Our incredible staff sure do love our Bearcats! What a privilege it is to work with such an incredible group of people. Unfortunately, not all are pictured, but all are truly appreciated!
Happy Halloween from Cooper!
