Murray Elementary School
A Great Place to Grow
October 2026
Principal's News
We are very excited about our upcoming Celebrate Murray Night on Thursday, October 8, from 5:30 to 7:00 PM. Dinner will be served throughout the evening. This event will feel like a fall festival, with ongoing activities all night long so your family can choose what to attend at your own pace. Our goal for the evening is to highlight all the wonderful things happening at Murray, celebrate Virginia L. Murray’s legacy, and reflect on how we honor her through our daily work. We hope you can make it. We will send a reminder next week with more information!
School Board Member Bob Beard
Bob Beard will join us for our October PTO Meeting on Wednesday, October 7 at 6:30 pm.
You're Invited to Fall Conferences
Fall Conferences: October 12 - November 6
Fall conferences are an important opportunity to learn more about your child’s educational journey and how they are doing socially, emotionally, and academically.
Please watch for information from your child’s teacher on how to sign up for a day and time. Don’t miss this chance for one-on-one conversations to better understand your child’s progress and how to support their learning at home.
We look forward to connecting with you!

School Safety
October Safety Drills
We will have two safety drills this month to help keep our students prepared:
-
Earthquake Drill: Thursday, October 15
-
Fire Drill: Monday, October 26
These drills are an important part of school safety, and our students practice them regularly to know what to do in an emergency.
