Dear FamiLEE,

We are excited as we prepare for ACT Testing on Tuesday, March 10th. Our students and teachers have been working hard to ensure our juniors are ready to perform their best on this important assessment.

On March 10th, 9th, 10th, and 12th grade students will have a virtual learning day. Assignments will be posted on Canvas, and students are expected to complete all assigned work. If students have questions, they can send their teachers a message directly through Canvas for assistance.

As we move forward, please remember that March 16–20 is Spring Break and also marks the end of the 3rd nine weeks. Although a break is approaching, the school year is not over yet. Please continue encouraging your young adult to attend all classes, arrive on time, stay focused during instruction, and complete all assignments so they can finish the grading period strong.

We also encourage everyone to come out and support our FamiLEE spring sports teams if you are able. Tennis, Soccer, Flag Football, Baseball, and Track are all in season, and our students appreciate the support of their school community.

Thank you for your continued partnership and support of Lee High School.

Have a wonderful weekend!

Sincerely,

Kitrise Torain

LHS Principal

New HCS Wireless Communication Device Policy: We want to inform you about an important update to our school policies in response to a new state law. On May 14, 2025, Governor Kay Ivey signed the FOCUS Act (Freeing Our Classrooms of Unnecessary Screens for Safety) into law. This law, which went into effect July 1, 2025, requires public schools across Alabama to limit student use of wireless communication devices during the instructional day to improve focus, safety, and engagement. In compliance with this law, Huntsville City Schools will implement a district-wide Wireless Communication Device (WCD) Policy beginning Fall 2025. Please click here to review the new HCS Wireless Communication Device policy.
